PIPELINE LEAD (ANIMATION)

Job Description

• The Pipeline Lead leads technical directors in tool development. They architect custom solutions. This role involves code reviews.

• The Pipeline Lead collaborates with IT. They optimize performance.

• Leadership in scripting is crucial.

Requirements

• Schedule development projects based on available resources and competing priorities.

• Planning and coordinate the creation and maintenance of internal tools.

• Balance daily support tasks with ongoing development commitments.

• Report project progress to the management team and escalate issues as necessary.

• Develop agile-based sprint workflows for development across departments and different locations to maximize code development cycles.

• Collaborate with 2D/3D supervisors to gather feedback from production leaders and artists on workflow and software requirements, and communicate these with the Technical Workflow Supervisor.

• Coordinate with the production department regarding workflow documentation and communication.

• Assist the production department in adopting new workflow features and help guide VFX projects to utilize a unified, common workflow.

• Previous experience as a Project Manager or similar role in a technical environment.

• Practical knowledge of the software development lifecycle.

• Exposure to different project management methodologies.

• Familiarity with scheduling and ticketing tools, such as JIRA.
