PIPELINE SUPERVISOR (ANIMATION)
Job Description
Lead the pipeline department in designing and maintaining production workflows for the animation studio, they integrate tools across departments.
Responsibilities include automation scripting.
Develop solutions and troubleshoot user needs, providing training for users and department members.
Maintain a strategic vision for the studio's pipeline and long-term development.
Ensure effective communication between supervisors and pipeline staff during planning phases, accurately understanding production needs and proposing feasible solutions.
Establish and maintain transparent milestones and progress tracking.
Provide strong team leadership and guidance to enhance productivity.
Motivate the team through demonstrated leadership and execution capabilities.
Collaborate with the Pipeline Production Manager to set clear performance expectations and provide support and guidance for the entire pipeline team.
Requirements
Experience in the complete CG/animation/VFX pipeline, from concept development to final deployment.
Knowledge of engine workflows and development.
Experience in CG production management software development; ShotGrid or Ftrack experience is preferable.
Programming/scripting experience with Python, MEL, and/or C/C++; familiarity with USD pipeline development.
Understanding of CG animation software and rendering engines, including but not limited to Maya, Nuke,Photoshop, Houdini, Katana, Arnold, and Renderman.
Knowledge of CPU & GPU rendering and acceleration.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux operating environments.
Experience in optimization, debugging, and software architecture.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Animation/VFX Production, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
