2025 has been a huge year for Scissor Seven, with the fandom growing globally and making great development progress on our game on Scissor Seven: Shadow Clash. Before we head into 2026, here’s a look back at the moments and memories we created together this year.

To kick things off, we spent 2025 celebrating the little milestones that make this community feel like home — from seasonal holidays to character birthdays, each one brought fresh art, new memories, and plenty of reasons to smile. Here’s a quick timeline of the moments we marked together this year:
Jan 28 – Chinese New Year (CNY): We rang in the Year of Snake with festive vibes and celebratory artwork to start 2025 on a bright note.

Mar 29 – Daibo’s Birthday: A special day for Daibo, celebrated with lots of love from the fandom to make Daibo's wishes come through!

Apr 25 – Scissor Seven Anniversary: 7th anniversary of Scissor Seven, and another reminder of how far this series (and our community) has come. Towards the future together!

May 13 – Thirteen’s Birthday: Thirteen’s turn in the spotlight, taking a short break from her missons and from putting up that stone-cold front, enjoying her special day with everyone on Chicken Island!

Jun 1 – Children’s Day (China): A heartwarming celebratory day for the future generation! Seven's here to grow up and wiser together with you.

Nov 29 – Seven’s Birthday: We wrapped up the year’s celebration calendar with Seven’s birthday — the perfect sendoff before we step into 2026, showcasing Seven's journey through the seasons, from Chicken Island to Xuanwu Country.

2. Season 5 Launch on Netflix
The biggest headline of the year: Scissor Seven Season 5 finally arrived on Netflix globally, complete with English and Spanish dubs. Though this is supposed to be a more introspective arc for Seven and Thirteen as they confront their pasts, the authentic humor from day 1 still carries through in this season.

For many fans, this was their first time experiencing the new English voice of Seven, Daniel J. Kim, stepping into the role and adding his own spin to the character.

3. Scissor Seven: Shadow Clash – Development Highlights
On the game side, Scissor Seven: Shadow Clash (SSSC) took big steps forward this year. We've concluded a closed beta test recently in the end of November and the feedback from all you fans have been extremely heartwarming. TLDR, here are the summarized points.
Major expansion of Chicken Island – To allow everyone to have a more immersive experience living on the island,the residents of Chicken Island will have their own behaviors and thoughts, engage in different conversations with you, some of which may be pleasant surprises while others might be scares.
Enhanced sense of impact & smoothness – We have redesigned the combat actions and special effects of all characters, overall enhancing the impact force and action coherence, while also refining the frame freezes, screen shakes, and camera transitions.
Upgrade PVP Mechanics – Finally, there are changes to the PVP gameplay. During the previous tests, everyone expressed that "they hoped the PVP battles would be more interesting." So in subsequent adjustments, we changed PVP to a star-grabbing gameplay that emphasizes the fun party experience.
More updates coming in 2026! Hopefully we'd be able to provide some content updates themed around major story arcs and working closely with the community to make SSSC feel like a true extension of the Scissor Seven universe.
4. Fan Art Contest Highlights 🎨
Our fan art contest this year was honestly stacked with an insane amount of talented submissions! We saw truly incredible re‑imaginations of Seven!

5. Merchandise & Licensee Launches 🛒
2025 also saw a wave of original Scissor Seven merch and licensee launches, from blindboxes to birthday collections to our very first action figure and more!
