LEAD TEXTURER (ANIMATION)
Job Description
Oversee the application of textures and materials to 3D models, ensuring high-quality realistic or stylized surface results;
Develop shading networks and approve surface qualities;
Provide technical training and mentorship to team members on new tools, workflows, and techniques;
The Surfacing Lead coordinates with lighting for render tests;
Optimize texture resolutions, UVs, and shading setups for production efficiency and performance;
Advanced knowledge of Substance Painter or Mari is required.
Requirements
Proficiency in 3D software: Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, Houdini, etc.;
At least 4 years work experience required in CG texture production;
Self-taught candidates with that show high skill level will also be considered, as long as they have a strong math and computer background;
Know much about the natural phenomenon, the motion of matter and texture, candidate who takes highly interest in physics and hard science fiction is better;
Experience with C/C++ or Python scripting is a strong plus;
Passionate about the CG industry, open-minded, and committed to long-term growth;
Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to adapt effectively in a fast‑paced production environment;
Prior leadership or management experience is required;
