  1. Official Celebratory Artworks

To kick things off, we spent 2025 celebrating the little milestones that make this community feel like home — from seasonal holidays to character birthdays. Each one brought fresh art, new memories, and plenty of reasons to smile. Here’s a quick timeline of the moments we marked together this year:

Jan 28 – Chinese New Year (CNY): We rang in the Year of the Snake with festive vibes and celebratory artwork to start the year on a bright note.

2. Season 5 Launch on Netflix

The year’s biggest headline: Scissor Seven Season 5 officially launched worldwide on Netflix— now with English and Spanish dubs. Even with a more introspective arc for Seven and Thirteen as they face their pasts, the series’ signature humor is still as sharp as ever.

For many fans, this marked their first introduction to Seven’s new English voice actor, Daniel J. Kim, who brought a fresh energy and personal touch to the role.

3. Scissor Seven: Shadow Clash – Development Highlights

On the game side, Scissor Seven: Shadow Clash (SSSC) took big steps forward in 2025. We recently concluded a closed beta test at the end of November, and the feedback from all of you has been incredibly heartwarming. We’ve shared detailed updates in our TapTap developer logs—read the full post here. A translated version is also available in our Discord server—link here.

TL;DR here are the key highlights:

Major expansion of Chicken Island – To make life on the island feel more immersive, Chicken Island’s residents will have their own behaviors and thoughts. They’ll interact with you through different conversations—some may be pleasant surprises, while others might give you a scare.

Enhanced impact and smoother combat – We’ve redesigned combat actions and special effects for all characters, improving impact, flow, and overall action coherence. We also refined hit-freeze frames, screen shake, and camera transitions.

Upgraded PvP mechanics – Based on feedback from earlier tests (“we hope PvP battles can be more interesting”), we’ve adjusted PvP into a star-grab mode that emphasizes a fun, party-style experience.

More updates are coming in 2026! We hope to deliver content updates themed around major story arcs, and to work closely with the community to make SSSC feel like a true extension of the Scissor Seven universe.

4. Fan Art Contest Highlights 🎨
